DICT to cut red tape in securing permits to build common towers

Common tower players can expect an easier process in securing building permits as the government targets to reduce the requirements for these by “more than 50 percent” this year.

In a statement on Monday, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) said it had been working with the Anti-Red Tape Authority (Arta) and other government agencies on its plan to free independent tower companies (ITCs) from dealing with unnecessary permits.
