COTABATO CITY: Officials of Western Mindanao Command (WestMinCom) distributed gifts to children at the orphanage Reception & Study Center for Children (RSCC) in Zamboanga City on Tuesday. Brig. Gen. Generoso Ponio, WestMinCom deputy commander for operations, led the handover of food, toys and toiletries to 45 orphans in Barangay Talon-Talon, Zamboanga City. “This is one way of giving back and helping the less privileged without expecting something in return,” said Ponio. “We are glad to help children in whatever means we can,” he added. WestMinCom Commander Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana said, “We want to reach out to the less privileged and make a difference in our lives as public servants and soldiers. We also want to enliven the hopes of less fortunate children so they will strive for a better future.”
