TWO typhoons outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) are triggering the southwest monsoon or “habagat” over western Luzon, the state-run weather bureau said on Wednesday.
As of 7 a.m., typhoon “Cimaron” was 2,000 kilometers (km) east-northeast of extreme Northern Luzon, according to weather specialist Gener Quitlong of the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
