THE country's trade went down to $3.50 billion in April from $3.70 billion a year ago as exports slightly went up while imports contracted, , the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported on Tuesday.

April's trade deficit was still higher compared to the $3.10 billion recorded in March this year.
