THE Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR) on Thursday announced that it has lifted red tide warning in coastal waters nationwide, expect in Bataan peninsula. BFAR said that shellfish and other fish species from coastal waters across the country are free from red tide toxin and safe to eat. However, those caught in the coastal waters of Bataan (Mariveles, Limay, Orion, Pilar, Balanga, Orani, Abucay and Samal) are still positive for paralytic shellfish poison that is beyond the regulatory limit.
