Tomas (UST) moved closer to ending a nine-year title drought after sweeping Ateneo De Manila University, 25-17, 25-16, 25-20, in Game 1 of the best-of-three finals of Season 81 University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) women’s volleyball tournament on Saturday at the Araneta Coliseum.
The season’s Most Valuable Player Sisi Rodina powered the Golden Tigresses’ fiery attack as they inched toward their first crown since Season 72, and 17th overall.
