TOKYO: The Philippine Swimming League (PSL) continued its impressive showing in the 2018 Tokyo Invitational Swimming Championship by claiming 11 gold, eight silver and five bronze medals on Sunday at the St. Mary’s International School swimming pool here.

West Manila Christian School’s Aishel Cid Evangelista shone the brightest in the second day of the competition as he ruled the boys’ 8-under 100m freestyle via a record-breaking fashion of one minute and 12.17 seconds — eclipsing the three-decade old record of 1:14.61 of Japanese Kei Karamaki set in 1987.
