THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) dared a militant bloc at the House of Representatives to condemn the atrocities of the New People’s Army (NPA) in the countryside, as it called on voters to be more “discerning” in choosing the party-list groups in the midterm elections.
“If they won’t condemn [the NPA], they are either complicit or they agree or acquiesced with the wrongdoings of this group,” Brig. Gen. Edgard Arevalo, military spokesman, told reporters at a news conference on Wednesday.
