LIBERTY Flour Mills Inc. saw its net income hit P102.015 million last year, a 0.65-percent decrease from P102.687 million in 2017. In a disclosure on Thursday, the listed flour producer blamed the slight drop on the decrease in the total sales of flour bags and mill feed sold in 2018. But increased purchases of wheat in late 2018 resulted in an 18-percent expansion in total wheat inventories last year. Total gross income reached P238.33 million in 2018, reflecting income from the sale of the company’s products, as well as rental and real estate, interest and dividend incomes. Total operating expenses and finance costs amounted to P181.3 million and P13.47 million, respectively.
