A bill that aims to promote the country’s indigenous or traditional writing systems has hurdled the House of Representatives on second reading.
Authored by Rep. Leopoldo Bataoil of Pangasinan’s second district, House Bill (HB) 8785 provides for the writing systems’ protection, preservation and conservation, according to a statement issued on Monday.
