THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) has raised a heavy rainfall alert in parts of Luzon as tropical depression ‘Egay’ continues to enhance the southwest monsoon.
A yellow warning was raised over Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas, Valenzuela in Metro Manila; San Narciso, San Marcelino, San Antonio, Castillejos, Subic, and Olongapo in Zambales; Bataan; and Bulacan due to an expected heavy rainfall of 7.5 to 15 millimeters per hour for at least three hours. Pagasa warned of possible flooding in low-lying areas and near river channels.
