“HANNA” has strengthened into a severe tropical storm as it lingered off the coast of Cagayan on Tuesday, the state-run weather bureau said.
As of 10 a.m., the Philippine spotted Hanna at 795 kilometers east of Calayan, Cagayan. It was carrying maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of 115 kph. Pagasa said Hanna had been almost stationary for the past 23 hours.
