HIGHER infrastructure and other capital spending in October boosted the year-to-date disbursements to grow by double digit, a Cabinet official said on Wednesday.Spending totaled P94.4 billion during the month, up 83.4 percent from the P51.5 billion recorded a year earlier, Budget Secretary Benjamin Diokno told reporters in a press briefing.Infrastructure projects during the month include the rehabilitation, construction, upgrading of damaged paved national roads, flood control and drainage improvement projects, construction of bypass-diversion roads, and road improvement-widening.The October result brought infrastructure and capital spending to P665.1 billion in the first 10 months of the year, 50.3 percent higher during the same period a year ago.
