Local furniture makers are eyeing to expand their business overseas as they try to tap the growing Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) market given the region’s positive economic outlook.

“The forecast globally is that in the next 10 to 15 years, Asia would be the fastest growing region so we really shouldn’t look too far,” Nicolaas de Lange, board chairman of the Chamber of Furniture Industries of the Philippines (CFIP), said in a recent report by the Philippine Exporters Confederation, Inc.
