Foreign shipbuilders express interest in takeover of Hanjin operations

SEVERAL foreign shipbuilders have expressed interest in taking over the operations of Hanjin Heavy Industries and Construction Philippines (HHIC-Phil), Defense Secretary Delfin Lorenzana said on Monday.

Speaking at a national security forum at the National Defense College of the Philippines in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City, Lorenzana said these companies were based in the US, Japan, Indonesia, Australia, and Turkey.
