FIVE global construction and engineering companies have submitted proposals to develop the 105-megawatt (MW) coal-fired power plant of San Ramon Power Inc. (SRPI) in Zamboanga City, Alsons Power Group said.

The proposed coal-fired facility in Talisay has attracted interest from engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contractors, namely Dongfang Electric International Corp. in Chengdu, China; Jurong Engineering Ltd. in Singapore; Northeast No.1 Electric Power Construction Co. Ltd. (NEPC 1), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the China Energy Engineering Group; Shandong Electric Power Construction Co. (Sepco III), a subsidiary of Power Construction Corporation of China; and Pune, India-based ThyssenKrupp Industries India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of Germany’s Thyssenkrupp AG.
