The Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) is eyeing the construction of 3,000 cell sites in the country this year to improve telecommunications services.
DICT Secretary Eliseo Rio Jr. said the setting up of additional towers is part of the government’s “short-term vision” to enhance the communication and information services to Filipino consumers by 2020.
