THE Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) appealed to 60 Filipinos working in a hospital in Esbea, Libya to immediately take shelter at the Philippine embassy since the area was no longer safe after two artillery rounds struck the medical facility on Sunday.

Chargés d'Affaires and Philippine head of mission Elmer Cato on Facebook said the asmi istrators of the Ali Omar Ashkar Hospital in Esbea told the embassy that "they could no longer assure the safety and security of our kababayan (fellowmen) there."
