THE Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) ordered the suspension of mining operations in the Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) a few days after Typhoon Ompong (Mangkhut) ravaged Northern Luzon.
Environment Secretary Roy Cimatu issued the order as he revoked on Monday the permits of all small-scale mining in the region.
