THE Department of Agriculture (DA) will import 17,000 metric tons of galunggong (round scad) to curb the increasing prices of fish and ensure food security.
Agriculture Secretary Emmanuel Piñol signed a Certificate of Necessity on Wednesday allowing accredited traders to import fish.
