GERARD SEGUIA THE controversial videos that linked President Rodrigo Duterte and members of his family to illegal drug activities have been taken down from video sharing site YouTube.'Ang Totoong Narco List,' a five-part series showed a hooded man who identified himself as “Bikoy,” linking members of the First Family and businessmen to alleged drug syndicates in Davao City and the Bicol Region.As of Thursday night, the videos, which were uploaded by MetroBalita.net in early April, were nowhere to be found on YouTube. In its place was a message, which said: “Uploader closed account,” when Manila Times checked.In an interview on GMA Network’s 24 Oras, MetroBalita.net’s web administrator Rodel Jayme, who was arrested on Tuesday denied that he was “Bikoy” and said he felt “betrayed” over the incident.“Hindi po ako si ‘Bikoy’ at wala po akong kinalaman doon,” he said.(I am not “Bikoy”and I have nothing to do with those videos.)“Wala rin po akong kinalaman doon po sa pag-upload,” he added.(I had nothing to do with the uploads.)He claimed that he was in church while the videos were being uploaded although he did not say who posted the videos.“Wala po ako sa bahay, nasa pagkakatipon po ako sa church, bigla pong na-upload yung video, so wala akong alam,” he said.(I was not at home and in a church gathering when it was suddenly uploaded so I have no clue.)“Yung plano na sinasabi nga po sa akin ay yung magtago nga daw po within one month, dahil parang ang lumalabas is ngayon ay maiinit hanggang eleksyon, dahil parang lalabas daw po yata si ‘Bikoy’ bagong mag-eleksyon.”(The plan was for me to hide for a month, because things will start to heat up because of the elections and “Bikoy” will likely reveal himself before this.)Jayme is uncertain where “Bikoy” will reveal himself. He later said that he was upset over what happened to him.“Nilaglag ako sa bagay na wala akong alam na parang trinaydor ako,” said Jayme.(I was dropped over something for which I have no knowledge of. I felt betrayed.)“Kasi in-upload yung video, ni hindi man lang sinabi sa akin na alam nila nandiyan yung pangalan ko, dahil siyempre, alam ko lang ay malinis yung intensyon ng pagkakagawa,” he said.(Because when the video was uploaded, no one bothered to tell me that my name was there, because, of course, what I know is that the intentions were clean in making those videos.)The web administrator said that he was willing to coordinate with authorities.Jayme, on his Twitter profile, identified himself as a “blogger, gamer, license amateur radio operator.”
