Last week, a roundtable discussion (RTD) on the status of compliance by government agencies covered by the continuing mandamus issued by the Supreme Court to rehabilitate the Manila Bay was convened by the Women in Maritime Philippines (WIMAPHIL). The event was In celebration of the 11th founding anniversary of WIMAPHIL and was in keeping with its advocacy to promote marine environment protection. Representatives of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Philippine Ports Authority (PPA), Philippine National Police – Maritime Group (PNP-MG) presented initiatives and targets thus far accomplished.
