All vote counting machines delivered ahead of time
MIRU Systems, the country's election system provider, announced that it had delivered all 110,620 automated counting machines (ACMs) for the 2025 national and local elections, a full month ahead of the government-mandated deadline. The delivery of the ACMS to the Commission on Elections (Comelec) was completed on Wednesday, Nov. 27, Miru said. The final delivery included 9,860 machines along with their accessories, bringing the total count to 110,620. An additional 600 machines were provided as a contingency at no extra cost. THE government's budget balance reversed to a surplus in October after five straight months of shortfall as revenues outpaced spending, the Bureau of Treasury reported on Wednesday. The P6.3-billion surplus — from revenues of P473.1 billion and expenditures of P466.8 billion — was a turnaround from September's P273.3 billion deficit and last year's P34.4 billion. The budget balance, however, remained at a deficit of P963.9 billion in the first 10 months but narrower than the P1.02 trillion deficit recorded in the January-October period last year. The Treasury said that

Hong Kong Eastern not same with Bay Area Dragons —Blankley
Hong Kong Eastern power forward Hayden Blankley said his current team is a totally different ball club compared to the Bay Area Dragons that went on to finish a strong second place behind eventual Commissioner's Cup champion Barangay Ginebra during the 2023 PBA season. The 6-foot-9 former stalwart of West Texas A&M noted that the Dragons that he played with during the PBA's 2022-23 season had a number of veterans that played in the Chinese Basketball Association, compared to the HK Eastern players who mostly competed in Hong Kong's domestic league. "It's a very different
