JRU survives Arellano's late surge, takes second win
MANILA, Philippines — Jose Rizal University (JRU) survived Arellano University's (AU) late surge, 92-89, to take its second win in the NCAA Season 100 men's basketball tournament at the FilOil EcoOil Center on Wednesday, September 25. The Heavy Bombers engaged the Chiefs in a tightly-contested ball game but the former detonated to a 12-2 bomb for an 84-74 advantage. Arellano fought back and got within two in the final 7.4 seconds following an Ernest Geronimo inside incursion in the game that had 11 deadlocks and 16 lead changes. A window remained open for the Chiefs to tie
