THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has revoked the registration of some 836 companies involved in unauthorized lending.
In an e-mailed statement on Wednesday, the state-run regulator said its Corporate Governance and Finance Department (CGFD) took back the registration of the latest set of corporations and partnerships that applied as lending companies, but failed to secure the required Certificate of Authority (CA) to operate as lenders.
