THE National Food Authority (NFA) will auction off its old rice stocks to free up storage space for palay procurement, said Administrator Larry Lacson.
The sale, targeted for the end of April or early May, will prioritize regions with full storages, Lacson noted, explaining that 36 percent of NFA's warehouses in Regions 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 and 12 are almost or completely full.
