TWO mass-based organizations, the Federation of Free Farmers (FFF) and Magsasaka Partylist, called on the government to first hold consultations before going into negotiations on the controversial import tariffs with the United States.
Earlier this month, US President Donald Trump imposed added tariffs on many of its trading partner-countries, with the Philippines forced to pay 17-percent duties on local goods entering the US.
