THE Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) has granted the Bureau of Customs (BOC) a 25-year free lease at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone to improve border security and operational efficiency in the port.
The agreement, formalized on Thursday, gives the BOC free access to customs operations. In return, the BOC is tasked to manage seized goods, follow environmental policies and maintain SBMA's facilities.
