(UPDATE) DAGUPAN CITY — The coastal waters off the towns of Bolinao and Anda in western Pangasinan have tested positive for red tide toxins, the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources-Regional Fisheries Office 1 reported on Thursday.

In an advisory, BFAR regional director Rosario Segundina Gaerlan warned residents against gathering, selling, and consuming all types of shellfish — including oysters, mussels, and "alamang" (Acetes sp.) — harvested from the affected areas.
