THE Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) on Thursday said that there is still a possibility of a major eruption over Kanlaon Volcano in Negros Island following its explosion on Tuesday that lasted for almost an hour.
"The chance that this will escalate further is still there," said Phivolcs director Teresito Bacolcol in a Viber interview.
