THE Philippine Army Search and Rescue or SAR Team, composed of soldiers from the 525th Combat Engineer Battalion under the Combat Engineer Regiment, landed at the Nay Pyi Taw Military Air Base, Myanmar, on April 1, 2025, and commenced its interagency participation in earthquake-hit Myanmar.

The 10-manned team arrived in Myanmar along with the members of the 505th Search and Rescue Group, Philippine Air Force, Bureau of Fire Protection, Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Department of Health, and the Office of Civil Defense to support the search and rescue efforts and extend assistance to the affected communities after the 7.7 magnitude earthquake that struck the country.
