THE peso, which has so far weathered the fallout from US President Donald Trump's unilateral tariffs, could come under renewed pressure given continued uncertainties over global trade and the direction of interest rates, analysts said.
"Retaliation from trade partners, currency volatility and depreciations are expected, which will help estimate economic deadweight losses," Reyes Tacandong & Co. senior adviser Jonathan Ravelas said.
