THE Philippine Postal Corp. (PHLPost) and the Department of Agriculture (DA) officially launched the Kadiwa ng Pangulo initiative on Thursday, a program designed to bring affordable agricultural products closer to the public by establishing community markets in strategic locations.

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at the Apacible Conference Hall, DA Head Office in Quezon City. The signing was attended by Luis Carlos, postmaster general and CEO of PHLPost, and Francisco Tiu Laurel Jr., secretary of the Department of Agriculture, along with lawyer Lori Ann Atal, assistant postmaster general for Administration and Finance at PHLPost.
