THE Management Association of the Philippines (MAP) on Friday raised concerns over the potential ripple effects of US President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariffs, warning of possible disruptions to economic stability.

In a statement, the business group urged the government to immediately form an Economic Security Council, to be composed of key government agencies and private sector representatives, that will be tasked with analyzing the likely impact of the 17-percent duty levied on the Philippines, mitigating risks and identifying alternative trade opportunities.
