THE immunization rate in the Philippines is only 64.47 percent, far from the 95 percent target needed to reach herd immunity.
This is an issue because a low vaccination ratio means that outbreaks are much more likely to occur, said Dr. Anelyn Reyes, board member of the Pediatric Infectious Disease Society of the Philippines (Pidsp).
