MANILA, Philippine — The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) issued new regulations governing the use of roads for motorcades and caravans during the election period, citing the need to "ensure public safety and minimize traffic disruptions."
Under Memorandum Circular 02, organizers must secure an event clearance from the MMDA in addition to obtaining permits from local government units (LGUs). Requests must be submitted at least seven working days in advance and include key details such as the event name, date, proposed route, estimated number of vehicles, and other necessary information.
