Commodore Jay Tarriela, PCG spokesman for West Philippine Sea, calls on the youth to keep abreast of the West Philippines Sea issues being the next leaders of the country. Tarriela said that the fight to protect the country's sovereignty was long and would need strong cooperation among the next generation. Tarriela and Assistant Secretary Karl Josef F. Legazpi, commissioner at large of the National Youth Commission, visited the University of Santo Tomas-Legazpi (UST-Legazpi) for the West Philippine Sea symposium with youth leaders and students, reinforcing the importance of truthful and transparent discussions on national concerns.
