Former House lawmaker denies vulgar remarks against reelectionist

MANILA, Philippines — A former Caloocan City lawmaker on Tuesday belied allegations by incumbent District 2 Rep. Mitch Cajayon-Uy over alleged vulgar remarks against her during a public appearance.

Interviewed by The Manila Times via Viber, congressman Edgar Erice, who was disqualified by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in the midterm polls in May, said there was nothing slanderous or vulgar when he mentioned Cajayon-Uy during a speech in the city's District 2.
