Thirteen cooperatives under the Federation of Cebu Transport Cooperative (FCTC) held a press conference on Monday, March 24, 2025, to express full support for the Public Transport Modernization Program (PTMP) and oppose any delays in its implementation.

FCTC Chairman Ellen Maghanoy emphasized that since 2018, the cooperative has remained committed to the program, generating 5,000 jobs, improving the livelihood of its 3,000 members, and benefiting an estimated 40,000 individuals in Cebu.

She said that despite their contributions to economic growth and community welfare, FCTC expressed concerns over the government's inconsistent modernization policies, which they said create confusion and hinder investments in improved transport services.
