PHILIPPINE Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) acting president and CEO Edwin Mercado has demonstrated once more PhilHealth's commitment to follow through on the directive of Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of making sure "services of PhilHealth remain unhampered" through the lifting of the 45-day benefit limit.
"The 45-day benefit limit is an outdated cost-containment strategy. We cannot always predict or schedule our medical needs. Many services also require more than 45 days of coverage. That's why we are thankful to the PhilHealth Board for approving this policy update," Mercado explained.
