THE Bureau of Immigration (BI) is developing a new breed of highly capable, young immigration officers to enhance border security, and trained well enough to handle critical situations.
Immigration Commissioner Joel Anthony Viado said on Sunday that the move is in line with the agency's "Bagong Immigration" vision amid calls by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. for a modernized, professionalized, and digitally advanced immigration service.
