MAGSASAKA Partylist chairman Argel Joseph Cabatbat has called out an official of the Department Agriculture (DA), following a media report on the deaths of farmers due to desperation.
Cabatbat was referring to DA spokesman Arnel De Mesa's statements on Saturday on ABS-CBN, in which the later refuted Magsasaka's assertion that rice farmers in Nueva Ecija had taken their own lives for fear of sinking deeper into debt amid the low buying price of palay.
