MANILA Electric Co. (Meralco) is looking for new partners with regard to the possible deployment of small modular nuclear reactors (SMRs) in the Philippines after a cooperation agreement with Ultra Safe Nuclear Corp. (USNC) fell through.
Meralco EVP and Chief Operations Officer Ronnie Aperocho said last Friday that they were now talking with several companies after USNC ran into financial troubles.
