Mindanao, Palawan will have rains, thunderstorms due to ITCZ

ANOTHER weather system, Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), has emerged and is now bringing scattered rains and thunderstorms over Mindanao and Palawan, the state-run weather agency said on Sunday.

The ITCZ, according to the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa), refers to a region near the equator where the trade winds of the northern and southern hemispheres converge, often carrying such weather patterns.
