MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte, in a phone patch, insisted that her father and former president Rodrigo Duterte was taken by the Philippine National Police (PNP) without a warrant of arrest issued by a competent Philippine court.
'On March 11, my father, former president Rodrigo Duterte, was forcibly taken by the PNP upon his arrival at the Manila International Airport. He was then brought to Villamor Air Base and later flown to The Hague, where he was delivered to the International Criminal Court,' the Vice President said during the Senate hearing conducted by the Committee on Foreign Relations, headed by Sen. Imee Marcos.
