Peso down half a centavo; PSEi pushes past 6,300

The peso closed marginally weaker on Wednesday while the stock market edged higher ahead of a US Federal Reserve policy decision.

The currency slipped by half a centavo to P57.3 against the dollar and the benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) added 28.44 points, or 0.45 percent, to end the day at 6,313.12.
