THE British Chamber of Commerce Philippines (BCCP) reiterated its call for the immediate distribution of the Minimum Access Volume (MAV) quota to meat importers, following the significant easing of the inflation rate at 2.1 percent in February 2025.
BCCP Executive Chairman Chris Nelson welcomed the low inflation rate that was recorded in February but remains wary of the food inflation. Nelson further reiterated the importance of one of the existing policy mechanisms signed by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. under the Executive Order 62, extending the lowered tariff rates on agricultural commodities until 2028.
