MANILA, Philippines — Nicholas Kaufman, the British-Israeli lawyer tapped to represent Rodrigo Duterte at the International Criminal Court (ICC), on Tuesday said he was looking to give "a strong defense" for the former president facing crimes against humanity charges.
"I certainly hope so," Kaufman replied in an interview streamed on Facebook by GMA News correspondent Andy Peñafuerte when asked if he thought the 79-year-old Duterte has a good chance of being sent back to the Philippines.
