The Cagayan State University inaugurates the first-ever Food Quality and Safety Laboratory through the support of the Department of Science and Technology-Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development at the CSU-Andrews Campus, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on March 14, 2025. Present were DOST-PCHRD Executive Director Enrico Paringit; Dr. Junel Guzman, vice president for Research, Development and Extension and project leader and Raquel Santos, senior science research specialist for DOST Region 2, representing Regional Director Virginia Bilgera. CSU Chaplain and Consultant and The Manila Times columnist Fr. Rannie Aquino blessed the facility, which would house Crude Fat Analysis, Crude Protein Analysis, Crude Fiber Analysis, Moisture Content Determination, and Ash Content Determination.
