GLOBAL food and beverage firm Del Monte Pacific Limited (DMPL) posted a net loss of $92 million for the first nine months ending Jan. 31 of its current fiscal year (FY), up from $50.6 million a year earlier.

This was said to be due to its US subsidiary's underperformance, which was partially offset by the Philippine unit's 80-percent net profit growth to $61 million.
